Tricuspid regurgitation is a significant component of congestive heart failure and is associated with adverse outcomes when left untreated. It often results from the enlargement of the tricuspid annulus and right-sided heart chambers due to various underlying conditions. Transcatheter tricuspid interventions (TTVI), such as tricuspid valve replacement and tricuspid valve repair, offer promising alternatives to surgery but face challenges related to anatomy, technical aspects, and patient selection. Future improvements in device design and imaging technology hold the potential to overcome these challenges and make TTVI more widely accessible.
