The very capable Cassini spacecraft orbited Saturn for 13 years and returned over 450,000 images and a wealth of scientific information about the planet, its rings, and its intriguing moons. The accompanying Huygens probe descended to the surface of the large moon, Titan, and unlocked secrets of that large, haze-shrouded moon. The Cassini-Huygens mission was an international effort involving the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Italian Space Agency Agenzia Spaziale Italiana (ASI). Development of the Cassini orbiter was managed by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) for NASA. ESA developed the Huygens probe, and ASI developed the high-gain antenna for Cassini, radar equipment, and some scientific instruments.

摘要
