With technological advances in learning such as online applications that help students at higher education institutions, it cannot be denied that the role of lecturers in giving support and assistance to students is vital to students’ academic performance. Therefore, this study has two main objectives: to investigate whether lecturers’ support significantly influences students’ academic performance. A quantitative survey was used with a convenience sampling technique implemented. Data from 250 students who took courses at the School of Business Management (SBM), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) were analysed using SPSS and the result from ETA correlation analysis shows that there is no hypothesis supported. The findings of this study indicated that lecturers’ support did not influence or gave impact to students’ academic performance. The recommendations were discussed for future research.
