Decoding the Role of Risk Perception in Shaping UX for Payment Apps in India

The study is all about the connection between user experience and risk perception in the intake and use of e-payment apps in India. The study, which is based on a survey of 170 individuals, express the relationship between e-payment usage and demographic characteristics, risk perceptions (including financial risk, data privacy, and security concerns), and user experience (interface, transaction smoothness, and customer service). There are a lot of studies user experience of payment apps in India and abroad. But a study focusing on the role of risk perception on the user experience of the payment apps in India is limited. The factors influencing the risk perception of payment app users were identified through review of the existing literature. The availability of the enormous literature on the user experience helped to identify the variables that influence the dependent variable of the study that is the user experience. This study identified three critical factors of risk perception namely the financial risk concern, data privacy concern and the security concerns. These independent factors significantly influence the user experience of the payment apps in India. The confirmatory factor analysis was used based on SEM using Amos software to confirm and validate the theoretical model.
