Marketing to Gen Z in Batam: Service Quality, Customer Satisfaction and Purchase Intention
摘要
The changing consumer landscape presents opportunities and challenges for Batam culinary MSEs, particularly in appealing to Gen Z. This demographic group is increasingly using digital services, so Culinary MSEs must improve their service quality to stay competitive and succeed. This study addresses research gaps by examining how digital service quality affects Gen Z's satisfaction and purchase intention, with a focus on consumer satisfaction as a moderating factor. Up to 387 responses are collected, and SEM-PLS shows that Culinary MSE's digital services quality significantly impacts purchase intention and customer satisfaction among Gen Z in Batam. Results showed a correlation between customer satisfaction and purchase intentions. Customer satisfaction moderates this relationship, enhancing the positive effects of service quality on purchase intention. The findings suggest that culinary MSEs in Batam should improve digital service quality to increase purchase intention, especially among Generation Z, who heavily use technology. This study also showed gender differences in service quality attitudes.
