Development of a Multilayer Consensus Model Using Game Mechanics in a Decentralized Autonomous Organization

This research introduces a new multilayer consensus model incorporating game mechanics within a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). Targeting the shortcomings of existing DAO consensus methods like quorum, quadratic voting, and holographic consensus, which often lead to limited participation and power centralization, this model seeks to foster enhanced decentralized governance and active engagement. The proposed approach is characterized by randomized selection of core members based on the duration of participation, which allows democratizing the decision-making process by involving different segments of the community and external agents. Economic incentives related to the ability to incentivize proposals, volume and liquidity of tokens are integrated to increase engagement. A key innovation is the proposal funnel mechanism and fair distribution of rewards, ensuring that proposals are aligned with the organization’s goals while incentivizing participants. The model aims to address the problems of existing DAO governance systems, such as a tendency towards oligarchy, inert decisions and poor community representation, by creating a more adaptive and inclusive structure. Conclusively, the implementation of this model is anticipated to overcome current DAO governance limitations, underscoring the necessity for ongoing adaptation in line with the evolving needs of the organization and its community.
