Conventional networks that rely on best-effort (BE) transmission methods face significant challenges in delivering high-quality, differentiated end-to-end transmission, e.g., UAV control signal. In recent years, advancements in deterministic networking technologies have provided promising solutions to address this issue. By integrating deterministic networking technologies, it becomes feasible to provide low-latency, jitter-free, and highly reliable communication services, thereby ensuring precise real-time control and data transmission. Therefore, this chapter introduces a TSN-5G-UAV deterministic networking architecture to provide deterministic transmission assurance for UAV remote control.
