The Fast 112 Heroes educational program teaches students how to recognize the symptoms of a stroke and enables them to spend more quality time with their beloved grandparents. “Fast 112 Heroes” is an innovative educational European program created by the Department of Educational and Social Policy of the University of Macedonia and the 2018 Health Collaboration award-winning European Angels Initiative and aims to inform, familiarize, and prepare young children to understand the symptoms of a stroke and to be able to call for first aid using the European Emergency Number 112. This program offers educational resources to inspire learning in Primary and Kindergartens schools, and to help to the transfer of knowledge to the families at home. The methodology of this paper is based on the detailed description of a case study tailored to the educational program “Fast 112 Heroes”. This paper tries to contribute to a better understanding of this innovative educational program and aims at the dissemination of necessary knowledge to students in order to prepare them to understand the symptoms of a stroke and to be able to call for first aid using the European Emergency Number 112. Stroke patients need high quality medical care, therefore raising awareness of stroke symptoms can save human lives.
