Oocyte cryopreservation, or egg freezing, has emerged as a transformative option in reproductive medicine, enabling individuals to preserve fertility and better align family planning with personal and professional goals. Initially developed for cancer patients undergoing gonadotoxic treatments, this technology is now widely utilized by individuals delaying childbearing for non-medical reasons. Despite its growing popularity, significant racial and ethnic disparities persist in the utilization and outcomes of oocyte cryopreservation. This chapter evaluates these disparities and highlights the need for targeted strategies to address inequities in access and outcomes.
