The central research question examines how these partnerships address the growing demand for sustainable food and mitigate the impacts of climate change through agroecological practices, the development of plant-based foods, and alternative proteins. The study highlights that the transition to plant-based diets can reduce up to 40% of greenhouse gas emissions in Latin America and the Caribbean. In Brazil, agroecological practices have already resulted in a 40% reduction in the use of chemical fertilizers and a 25% increase in productivity in 3.
