Greenwashing: A Practical Guide for Design Students
摘要
The present text addresses the structure and definitions of teaching design for sustainability and greenwashing in higher education, mainly due to society’s increasing sensitivity to sustainability issues. For this reason, it is crucial to prioritize this theme in university curricula, ensuring that students have access to discussions on the topic. It is essential that students and future professionals can accurately identify whether they are developing a product or service through the phenomena of greenwashing. For this, they need education as a knowledge base. A narrative literature review has led to the development of a practical guide, addressing the lack of literature on this topic and the need for deeper exploration in design education. This guide clarifies greenwashing phenomena and how they occur, serving as a reference tool for executing projects. The first version of this guide was validated by Graphic Design students and evaluated by professionals in the field. Currently, the guide has proven to be an effective project tool and a promising didactic resource for project teaching.
