The theme of this article is the role of Universities as institutions that not only generate and transmit knowledge, but also act as agents of change in society, through dialogues with their external community, playing an extremely important role. In view of this, the purpose of the article is to show one of the extension actions of the Sustainable Attitudes project, developed by LabCA—Laboratory for Creation and Analysis of Environments of the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, which focuses on the dissemination and assimilation of new technologies for energy-saving lamps. The objective of the article is to show how, through art, the activities promoted by students of the interior design course addressed technology in a language accessible to the general public, disseminating innovation through education. The methodology used was to observe the demand of Brazilian society identified in the research on the information that lamp packaging should contain in Brazil and, through the integration of teaching, research and extension, bring knowledge to the population in a playful way. The article presents the results achieved since the beginning of activities in 2020 until nowadays, showing the full performance of the extension, with the description of the actions promoted online during the COVID-19 pandemic, published in the Plea 2022 proceedings, and the report of current actions, when activities returned to the in-person format.
