Theoretical Conception of University Management and Models of Technology and Knowledge Transfer
摘要
Universities are essential pillars for social, economic, and cultural development through their significant contribution to the production of knowledge. However, the substantive functions of teaching, research, and extension reveal contradictions between the autonomy of university management and the external control exercised over universities within the Latin American context, which is characterized by unique cultural, social, and economic challenges. Through a comprehensive bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer and a review of theoretical models, this article explores the evolving landscape of knowledge production in Latin American universities, focusing on the tensions between traditional academic practices and the growing demands for sustainable and innovative approaches. Key findings highlight the importance of strategic partnerships, technology transfer and adaptive management strategies to enhance the overall impact of knowledge production. The document concludes by recommending a balanced approach that integrates traditional academic values with new models of participation, fostering a more sustainable and socially relevant university management framework.
