This study was conducted at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering of the Technological University of Havana José Antonio Echeverría (CUJAE) and analyzes the management of work placements, a key element in strengthening relationships between the university and the business sector. The study examines the results from the previous academic year concerning student satisfaction with their work placements, identifying both strengths and weaknesses in the process. As part of the analysis, the activities related to managing relationships with companies, the design and implementation of the work placement program, and the satisfaction of the involved companies are detailed. The main objective was to design a management procedure that optimizes performance, improves student satisfaction, and enhances the impact of university-business relations. The main results of the study indicate a greater formalization of the relationships between the university and companies. The didactic design of the work placement program was developed and implemented on the university's Moodle platform, including a set of tasks for students to complete throughout the placement period aimed at achieving greater integration in production systems. Additionally, control and interaction with students were strengthened, allowing tutors to provide feedback both through the platform and during in-person meetings. Finally, more information was obtained regarding the satisfaction of the companies with the work completed by the students, improving university-business collaboration.
