Teaching Data Analysis: Enhancing Data Literacy for Better Decision-Making
摘要
Despite the rapid development and pervasive presence of intelligent computing devices in everyday life, a significant gap remains in education regarding effective data storage, analysis, and utilization. This lacuna in education hinders not only the generation of monetary profit from data but also impedes our capacity to enhance behaviors, make informed decisions, and protect ourselves from various vulnerabilities. Poor data management or a lack of understanding can result in serious consequences, including data breaches, misinformation, and missed opportunities for personal and societal progress. In light of the central role that data continues to play in shaping industries and decision-making processes, the importance of fostering data literacy becomes increasingly evident. The objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive approach to data literacy, detailing when, how, and why data education is critical for all age groups. By fostering a more profound comprehension of data analysis and its practical applications, this study aims to empower society to more effectively leverage the potential of data, thereby promoting advancements in domains such as health, education, business, and daily life.
