The paper uses QForm software to analyze the effects of the workpiece and dies on the strain fields of the workpiece, fatigue failure, and mean stress in the die. The results were obtained from the simulation of four cylindrical workpieces with different diameters and heights on two dies with and without rings. When the workpiece has a small diameter, it has a higher and more uniform degree of deformation than a large-diameter workpiece with a low height in the range of 1.5–3 times. In addition, the mean stress field in the basin is more homogeneous, showing greater stability. The results can be used as a reference to the die design process.

摘要

The paper uses QForm software to analyze the effects of the workpiece and dies on the strain fields of the workpiece, fatigue failure, and mean stress in the die. The results were obtained from the simulation of four cylindrical workpieces with different diameters and heights on two dies with and without rings. When the workpiece has a small diameter, it has a higher and more uniform degree of deformation than a large-diameter workpiece with a low height in the range of 1.5–3 times. In addition, the mean stress field in the basin is more homogeneous, showing greater stability. The results can be used as a reference to the die design process.
