Comparison Between Port Injection and Direct Injection of Natural Gas Engine: A Case Study in Vietnam
摘要
This study compares the performance of direct and port injection natural gas engines. The research focuses on a converted single-cylinder diesel engine. It evaluates the working characteristics of both injection types under ideal and lean combustion conditions. In ideal conditions, DI has higher torque than PI due to better mixture formation at low speeds. However, PI can operate better at high speeds because it has more time for mixing. Additionally, DI can create a stratified mixture since the injector is placed inside the cylinder.
