Assessment of Ibarra’s Model for Cyclic Simulation of Frames Under Experimental Loading
摘要
Accurate prediction of the behavior of building structures subjected to cyclic or dynamic actions is a current challenge that can lead to both reliability and optimization of civil engineering structures. This issue has led to the establishment of several models to account for the inelastic behavior of reinforced concrete building structures. However, the search for new models remains relevant, in conjunction with the progress of computer tools that allow the improvement of prediction methods used. In this context, a numerical simulation was conducted using the concentrated inelastic model, integrating the Hinge approach and the Ibarra constitutive model to account for the hysteretic behavior of frames. Tests performed on a frame from experimental work showed very satisfactory results for this model, despite the non-inclusion of the degradation procedures recommended by the author, which encourages the use of this model for numerical simulation in structures subjected to cyclic or seismic actions.
