International Application of Schoolwide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports
摘要
The principles of positive behavior support as they apply to promoting prosocial behavior among children, youth, and adults are universally applicable to all human behavior. Likewise, the translation of universal principles into school- or program-wide systems results into a set of essential features that are adaptable to all educational contexts. The universality and transportability of school- and program-wide positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS), including cultural and linguistic adaptations, has resulted into a multinational initiative. This chapter provides summaries of five national schoolwide PBIS initiatives, highlighting cultural and education system adaptations and local research examining essential features of schoolwide implementation efforts to date. Summaries are presented in alphabetical order by nation.
