Culturally Responsive Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports Across Tiers 1, 2, and 3
摘要
In the dynamic tapestry of today’s educational landscape, acknowledging and addressing students’ diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences is fundamental to fostering inclusive and effective learning environments. Cultural responsiveness in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) stands as a cornerstone in this endeavor, embodying a commitment to recognizing, understanding, and appropriately integrating cultural factors within behavioral intervention practices. Cultural responsiveness in PBIS encapsulates the capacity to navigate cultural diversity present within educational settings. It entails not only recognizing the multifaceted dimensions of students’ cultural identities but also understanding how these aspects influence their behaviors and responses to interventions. More than just cultural awareness, it embodies an active engagement with cultural differences to inform and shape the design and implementation of behavior interventions.
