This chapter focuses on the vulnerable Basotho women who have opted to engage in sex work to supplement their incomes. This chapter outlines identities and characters within the sex work community that intersect to incapacitate the sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) outcomes, regardless of the global intervention strategies that are being devised and implemented by other countries, as recommended by the United Nations. Considering that being a sex worker does not preclude them from their right to health, and noting that right to health includes the right to sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), we argue that the implementation of SRHR within the sex work community is important and a point of departure in realising the full coverage of SRHR nationally.

摘要
