The chapter expounds upon tribo and biotribocorrosion phenomena. The principle of the test is elucidated, and an example diagram of a tribometer equipped with an electrochemical cell is presented. The methodology of measuring and analysing the obtained results in relation to total wear is explained. Finally, a number of solutions aimed at improving wear lifetime and electrochemical characteristics of DLC layers are presented.
