The worldwide pandemic and its aftermath have altered the business landscape broadly and profoundly. However, the seeds of change were planted before the global health crisis. During the last decade, the geography of accelerated economic growth potential has changed and is moving forward at an even faster pace and will continue to do so over the next ten years. Geopolitics has overtaken purely economic issues, as witnessed by the conflict between RussiaRussiaand UkraineUkraine, ethnic-religious tensions in India, the rise of populismpopulism and authoritarianism in many regions of the world, increased inflation and fiscal deficits, public safety and anti-foreigner manifestations in South Africa are impacting nations, the public and private sectors, and consumers and citizens at large.
