Since 2020, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation has coordinated of developing and updating the inteli.gente platform, designed to diagnose, expand, and implement indicators related to smart cities for the assessment of 5570 Brazilian cities, customized for each one of them. Online and free, the inteli.gente platform is a management and governance system with diagnoses and recommendations on the level of maturity in dimensions of sustainable development and institutional capacities. An adaptation and extension of the Smart Sustainable City Maturity Model of the International Telecommunication Union, it uses data science techniques to analyze the indicators.
