Mechanical Behaviors Analysis of PP-MSC

A comprehensive mechanical analysis was conducted to assess the feasibility of employing prefabricated pipes crafted from manufactured sand concrete (MSC) as an alternative to cast-in-situ ordinary concrete in prefabricated structures, amidst the ongoing drive for practical engineering innovations. Initially, the mechanical behaviors of MSC were analyzed across various replacement rates to determine the ideal replacement rate for the fabrication of prefabricated pipe with manufactured sand concrete (PP-MSC). Subsequently, experimental testing and finite element numerical simulations were performed to evaluate the deflection and stress variations in PP-MSC. The findings revealed that the PP-MSC is viable for use in temporary prefabricated structures. Additionally, the finite element model was capable of providing accurate predictions and calculations for the behaviors of PP-MSC under more complex loading conditions in subsequent applications.
