This chapter presents numerical simulations that validate the noise estimation methods introduced in the previous chapter. It is organized into sections covering univariate noise estimation, time-varying noise, and physiological noise reduction. The final two sections provide insights into the effects of noise in networks of coupled oscillators and the influence of noise-induced drifts and modulations on complexity quantifiers. For each topic, the relevant datasets, experimental setups, and corresponding results are detailed and discussed.

摘要

This chapter presents numerical simulations that validate the noise estimation methods introduced in the previous chapter. It is organized into sections covering univariate noise estimation, time-varying noise, and physiological noise reduction. The final two sections provide insights into the effects of noise in networks of coupled oscillators and the influence of noise-induced drifts and modulations on complexity quantifiers. For each topic, the relevant datasets, experimental setups, and corresponding results are detailed and discussed.
