Exploring Knowledge & Technology Landscape of AI and Neurotechnology: A Bibliometric and Patent Analysis
摘要
The convergence of artificial intelligence (AI) and neurotechnology has accelerated innovation in healthcare, neuroscience, and human-machine interaction. This study explores the knowledge and technology landscape of AI and neurotechnology through a dual-source analysis of academic publications and patents. Using data from the SCOPUS database and the Derwent Innovation Index (DII), we examine research trends, technological advancements, and key contributors across the field. The interdisciplinary growth of neurotechnology is reflected in the bibliometric analysis of research publications, with emerging areas including brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), neuroimaging, and neuromodulation. Meanwhile, patent analysis indicates trends in the commercialization of neurotechnological innovations, highlighting private companies and public research institutions. The findings provide valuable insights into the evolution of this dynamic domain, offering a roadmap for researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to navigate future challenges and opportunities at the intersection of AI and neurotechnology.
