The research problem identified is how data democratisation empowers stakeholders, and the challenges encountered in this process. This study employed a rigorous selection process to analyse peer-reviewed articles, case studies, journal articles, conference papers and industry reports. Through the systematic analysis of 30 papers covering the topics of “Data Democratisation”, “Digital Transformation” and “Stakeholders” 3 main themes and 10 sub themes of stakeholder empowerment were identified. This synthesis highlights success case studies and areas for improvement in implementing data democratisation initiatives. This systematic literature review (SLR) contributes to advancing knowledge on how data democratisation empowers stakeholders during digital transformation, offering valuable insights for organisations seeking to leverage data-driven approaches for sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
