From Victims to Actors: Analysing Youth Participation in Nigeria’s Peace and Security
摘要
Young Nigerians have been centrally involved in building peace in the country and beyond. However, this work is often overlooked. Consequently, this study aimed to analyse the participation of young people in Nigeria’s peace and security processes, examining the extent to which youth and youth-led initiatives contribute to peacebuilding in the country. It examines the case of Building Blocks for Peace (BBFORPEACE), employing a qualitative research method, drawing research data from both primary and secondary sources. The findings indicated that young people in Nigeria play a crucial role in shaping peace and security outcomes.
