Diagnosis involves dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scans and biochemical markers, while treatment focuses on lifestyle modifications, optimized PN composition, and pharmacological therapy. Bisphosphonates, parathyroid hormone (PTH) analogs, and denosumab help prevent bone loss but require careful monitoring. Regular screening and early intervention are essential to reduce complications, preserve bone density, and improve quality of life in PN-dependent patients.
