During his lifetime, Felix Klein forged close relationships with numerous British mathematicians. Notably, his associates at the universities of Cambridge, Oxford, and Edinburgh encouraged high-achieving graduates to advance their studies with a visit to Göttingen, in order to attend Klein’s seminars. These students often went on to conduct original research in mathematics or to pursue careers in university teaching. By tracing the trajectories of the many British graduate students who visited Klein, or actively engaged with his mathematics in other ways, this paper demonstrates the significant influence exerted by Klein on mathematical research in Britain across multiple generations.
