The aim of this chapter is to introduce a generic financial competence process model that represents individual financial decision-making processes and the factors that potentially influence them. The development of the model is based on the conceptualisation of both competence in general and financial competence in particular as well as on existing competence process models. The model and its individual components are explained and illustrated using examples from the finance domain. The model can be used as a basis for the development of teaching and learning materials, for the design of teaching and learning environments and for the measurement of financial competence.

摘要

The aim of this chapter is to introduce a generic financial competence process model that represents individual financial decision-making processes and the factors that potentially influence them. The development of the model is based on the conceptualisation of both competence in general and financial competence in particular as well as on existing competence process models. The model and its individual components are explained and illustrated using examples from the finance domain. The model can be used as a basis for the development of teaching and learning materials, for the design of teaching and learning environments and for the measurement of financial competence.
