Prototype for a Telemedicine Applications within the Framework of Energy—Positive Homes to Enhance Healthcare Accessibility
摘要
Although technology is continuously developing, telemedicine is still not yet utilized to its full potential into a positive home environment. Many patients lack home-based equipment to monitor their health condition. To address this issue the authors of this paper propose the development of a small and low-cost wearable Electromyograph prototype with surface electrodes. The device is specifically designed for patients diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. The purpose of this device is to enhance patients’ comfort and to reduce the energy, time, and costs associated with visiting specialist doctors. Another benefit of the device is that it provides doctors with easy access to real-time data sent by the patient.
