NIRS is a non-invasive, portable technology that measures muscle oxygenation and hemodynamics by detecting the absorption of near-infrared light. This research evaluates the efficacy of NIRS in determining muscle oxygenation levels, metabolic activity, and blood perfusion during various physical activities. Despite its advantages, such as ease of use and its non-invasive nature, NIRS presents certain limitations, including limited light penetration and individual variability in hemodynamic responses.
