Promising Sorbents Based on Foamed Aluminosilicate Granules of Heulandite Type for Extraction of Caesium Ions from Low Radioactive Waters
摘要
The paper presents the results on purification of low activity water (38.9 Bq/cm3) from caesium ions by complex sorbent because of copper ferrocyanide and powders from foamed aluminosilicate granules of heulandite type. In the process of researches it is established that the greatest degree of purification (S = 99,58 - 99,61% and Kp = 234,76 - 254,08) is provided by the complex of sorbents including 100% ferrocyanide of copper with 50% of powders from foamed aluminosilicate granules on the basis of metakaolin and palygorskite. It is shown that the highest sorption capacity (by distribution coefficient) - 3863,48, 3842,5, 3840,75 ml/g are characterised by sorbents based on 100% copper ferrocyanide and complexes consisting of 50% CFC + 50% GPM, 50% CFC + 50% GPP. Sorbents based on pure powders of foamed aluminosilicate granules - 100% GPM and 100% GPP, the capacity of which is in the range of 3647.75 and 3556 ml/g, are slightly inferior to them in Kd values. The developed compositions of sorbents 100% CFC, 50% CFC + 50% GPM, 50% CFC + 50% GPM, 100% CFC + 50% GPM and 100% CFC + 50% GPP provide water purification from caesium ions of all 4 classes. Sorbents like 100% GPM and 100% GPP provide water purification of 4 classes. Complex sorbents have shown their efficiency in PLASMA-SORB technology for purification of medium radioactive water at Ukrainian NPPs.
