The paper presents the results of tests to assess the resistance of geopolymer bases of inorganic paints to mould fungi of the genus Aspergillus. The methodology of tests consisted of sampling of tested paints; preparation of nutrient media; preparation of Aspergillus spore suspension; fixation of changes and evaluation of the degree of Aspergillus fungus infestation of tested paints. Fixation of the level of infestation of paint materials by Aspergillus fungus we performed on the 7th, 14th and 21st days of testing. During the testing period of geopolymer paints, no general pattern of their infestation they be seen. No level of growth inhibition by Aspergillus mycelium we observed for the geopolymer bases on the 7th day of testing. Tests of paintwork materials on geopolymer base showed that with increasing exposure time there is no increase in the level of their defeat by mycelium of Aspergillus fungus in Sabouraud and Czapek’s media and there is a level of inhibition of mycelium growth in the tested types of paintwork materials. Such paints can be us as bio-resistance paints for both external and internal surfaces of structural elements and facilities of nuclear power plants.
