In this article discusses the complex hydrotechnical measures that ensure the improvement of the efficient use of water resources in the area of the Alagol region of the liberated Kalbajar district, increasing its recreation, fishing, water transport and hydropower potential are discussed. The conducted studies examined the assessment of water resources in the area of the Alagol region, the implementation of a water balance report, the reasons for the low level of use of water resources in the area, and the discharge of the resulting water resources into the Tartarchay basin. A plan for a territorial water management complex ensuring the increase in recreation, fishing, water transport and hydropower potential is prepared. Hydrotechnical measures have been developed to ensure the annual discharge of 100 million m3 of water from the area of the Alagol region to the Tartarchay basin and its efficient use in the fields of water supply, irrigation and green energy. The issue of bottling Alagol water, the creation of an Azerbaijani water brand and bringing income from its business to the economy of country is touched upon.
