This study explores how flow quantification and simulations can improve the management of care pathways in a healthcare facility specialized in follow-up and rehabilitation care. It is based on an assessment of the current operation through the quantification of existing patient flows. Human and organizational constraints were identified to ensure a relevant stay in the facility. Subsequently, flow simulations conducted with the Flexim Healthcare® software allowed for an analysis of the system’s functioning and the exploration of alternative optimization scenarios. The results of this work offer valuable perspectives for streamlining patient flows and optimizing the human resources required for care delivery, despite the identified limitations.

摘要
