Key Determinants for Successful Digital Transformation: Insights from Content Analysis and Educational Implications
摘要
An era of unpredictable market conditions demands digital transformation (DT) for modern organization success. DT is not merely a technological shift but a comprehensive redefinition of business strategies, processes, and models. To navigate this complex transformation, organizations must focus on key DT determinants, including Strategy orientation; Customer centricity; ICT and process infrastructure; Talent, capability and capacity strengthening; and Innovation culture and organizational commitment. As DT requires adaptability, innovation, and cross-disciplinary expertise, strengthening talent and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing is essential. DT professionals must acquire different skills in the fields of computer science, strategic management, information systems, emerging technologies, and agile methodologies to enable sustainable transformation. Research fosters literature review, content analysis, and validation of existing determinants by linking them to education in information systems, computer science, and engineering. The findings highlight the need for a minor adaptation of the determinants and need for ongoing education and training to ensure DT experts are equipped to drive and sustain DT initiatives.
