Contemporary research in the field of digital development reflects the dynamics of transforming existing processes within industrial enterprises, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of their innovative development and competitiveness. Particular attention in this context is given to the study of the intensity of adopting advanced production technologies (APT) based on digital tools and mechanisms during their implementation. In this regard, the article explores the correlation between the pace of innovation adoption by enterprises and the implementation of advanced production technologies. The analysis reveals that the innovative activities of enterprises are closely linked to the adoption of APT and exhibit a direct relationship with a certain time lag. Key constraints hindering the development of innovations and advanced production technologies in the context of digitalization have been identified. It is concluded that intensifying these areas will enhance the competitiveness of domestic production, as well as the quality and speed of the country’s digital development. To implement the intensification processes, the company’s internal capabilities were studied, barriers to innovative development were identified, and an algorithm and model for optimizing the company’s internal capabilities for increasing the efficiency of innovative enterprises were proposed.
