This paper presents the concept of the M4FT (Mirror for Face Therapy) system, which supports the therapy of patients with facial dysfunction. Individuals undergoing orthognathic, oncological, and reconstructive procedures, as well as neurological patients, have limited access to professional rehabilitation equipment. The proposed system utilizes ArUco markers to track facial movements for an objective assessment of therapy. In the pilot study, a low-cost measurement setup and research protocol were developed, followed by an analysis of marker detection accuracy. The results indicate high effectiveness of the proposed approach, although detection required interpolation to reduce errors. The M4FT system serves as a foundation for further work on the automatic assessment of the range and quality of facial movements in patient rehabilitation.
