This study explores the design of a complex lead compensator to improve the ride comfort in a vehicle. A quarter vehicle ride model, which represents a simplified version of automotive systems, is utilized to simulate the system behaviour. MATLAB-based simulations are carried out to validate the effectiveness of the proposed compensator and a comparative analysis with other compensators show that the designed complex lead compensator is very much effective in reducing vibrations and enhancing the transient response behaviour.

摘要

This study explores the design of a complex lead compensator to improve the ride comfort in a vehicle. A quarter vehicle ride model, which represents a simplified version of automotive systems, is utilized to simulate the system behaviour. MATLAB-based simulations are carried out to validate the effectiveness of the proposed compensator and a comparative analysis with other compensators show that the designed complex lead compensator is very much effective in reducing vibrations and enhancing the transient response behaviour.
