In this chapter, we present the foundations of our methodology, which is based both on theories of learning and didactics and drama-based pedagogy. The reflection processes involved in this work are grounded in particular in the approach of Schön, who coined the terminology “reflection-in-action” and “reflection on action”. The re-enactment of real-life practice situations which is at the core of this methodology has its roots in the pedagogical theatre foundations of Gestalt therapy, and is explored here in further detail.
