In this chapter, we present a case example of a client with depression and suicidal thoughts. Our experiences whilst role-playing this client are described in detail, and relevant inner parts identified. We reflect on the role-play dialogue from a Gestalt-methodological perspective and establish links between practice and theory. Value squares are used to depict potential directions of development for the client. In addition, we offer links to further specialist literature. At the end, the insights gained are illustrated with a summary graphic.
