This chapter examines the FPC’s discourse during the Obama administration. The FPC’s assessments of President Obama’s foreign policy are analyzed through a gender lens. Gendered constructs are observed in the FPC’s Wild Realism discourse that were used to discipline and reinforce assumptions about how a US president should conduct foreign policy. In particular, this analysis interrogates gendered constructs of strength/weakness in the Wild Realism discourse.
