We begin this lecture course by recalling several general concepts about sets, relations, and functions. At the same time, we assume that the reader is more or less familiar with elementary logic and basic notions of “naive” set theory, such as: a subset of a set, a family of sets, the union of sets, the intersection of sets, the difference of two sets, the symmetric difference of two sets, etc.
