Flap striae is not an uncommon complication, but its incidence can be almost fully avoided if an appropriate surgical technique and prevention are applied. This is relevant because flap striae can significantly affect patients' outcomes and satisfaction rate on an otherwise unremarkable surgery. In this chapter, we will describe the incidence of this complication as well as its prevention methods. Finally, we will give some light on how to manage them once they are established and remain irreversible on the cornea.
