Human Digital Twins (HDTs) offer several opportunities when applied to sports. Our research explores the adoption of Digital Twins to create a system to monitor athletes, enhance performance, and prevent injuries. We focus on Practical Shooting, a discipline demanding speed, accuracy, and strategic decision-making. The proposed system is a digital coaching aid that provides real-time insights to coaches and athletes. This paper outlines our preliminary implementation plan. We detail the project’s core themes, a system architecture tailored for the shooting range, an interaction design informed by coach and athlete collaboration, developed with the involvement of 19 athletes and 35 trainers, and the planned future developments.
