Introducing an Innovative Approach to Archaeological Data Management, Visualization, and Intelligent Analysis
摘要
This article explores how domain experts involved in the archaeological field are transforming their working practices through the advanced tools available to them for data storage and analysis, including the use of conversational chatbots. It introduces an innovative approach to data management in archaeology. The focus is on the implementation of information management techniques that take contextual requirements into account and promote interoperability through standardised models. A flexible and customised database schema is proposed. Functionalities are presented to support data analysis through a graph-based environment and an intuitive visual interface for querying the database even for non-technical users. The aim is thus creating a new dashboard with valuable tools and methodologies for archaeological research, facilitating its practical use also for non-technical users. Our work aligns with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing innovation in digital tools (Goal 9) and fostering sustainable preservation practices to benefit cities and communities (Goal 11).
