Dialect machine translation based on neural machine translation (NMT) improves communication and offers easy access to the information to a large set of users, which has a big impact on day-to-day living. by the elimination of more language barriers and allowing speakers of dialects to interact with international information, such as entertainment and news. The maintenance of a powerful ethnic relationship is more facilitated thanks to the usage of this kind of technology because it can help with education, business, or even social integration. Additionally, it provides more freedom to individuals to express themselves online in their own tongues. Developing a successful machine translation system for Darija or Moroccan dialect (MD) is difficult due to various factors; among them, this dialect has a rich variety of local expressions, slang, and regional variations that differ significantly from Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) also, the dialect’s heavy influence from Berber, French, and Spanish complicates linguistic processing and the correct understanding by any translation system; besides, this dialect has its own unique features and nuances; then evolving language use in informal communication tools using social media platforms adds further challenges, making it difficult for machine translation systems to adapt and maintain accuracy in translation.
